1st Fridays: Gallery Walk, 5:30-8:30PM

Every First Friday of the month, stop by for studio tours, demos, and to buy from The Shop.

On November 1st, Wheelhouse is pleased to feature Brattleboro's own Emily Wright!

Emily is a lover of hand building with clay. She grew up in Brattleboro, took classes with Bonnie Stearns of Creating with Clay, then got her BFA in ceramics from Alfred University. She works making plaster molds for Laura Zindel Ceramics, and she is one of two fantastic studio technicians at Wheelhouse.

Emily focuses on using familiar pottery forms to explore how craft and art fit into a modern world. Her decorations are playful, whimsical. A customer who recently bought Emily's work from Wheelhouse's shop stood looking at it, then began laughing. "It just fills me with joy!"

During Gallery Walk, Emily will demonstrate building large coil forms.
